Wide bars are used to achieve a more stable feel for modern trail riding. Going wider means that leverage over the front wheel is increased which gives the rider more control and accuracy.

The AMP series features a 35mm bar bore which is used to combat the extra leverage that comes with wider bars. This wider diameter creates a stronger structure which does not need extra reinforcement material to cope with the extra force.
